I wanted to use Stacks as an application launcher, but dragging my Applications folder onto the Dock results in a Stack filled with programs I never use, burying the ones I do. Instead, I created a folder in my User directory which I populated with Aliases to my frequently used programs, giving me control over what’s listed.

It’s not particularly brilliant, but having done a format/install of Leopard I’m challenging myself to experiment with the tools included by Apple, rather than immediately installing my original helper programs and embracing old workflows.
